Thursday, November 5, 2026
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST

Psychological health and safety is an important part of creating healthy and safe workplaces and communities, but it doesn't have to be a separate program. Existing health and safety practices can provide meaningful opportunities to identify psychological hazards and support worker well-being.

This practical, interactive session explores how psychological health and safety concepts can be incorporated into familiar activities such as incident investigations, workplace inspections, hazard assessments, corrective actions, and training.

Participants will:

  • Identify psychological and psychosocial hazards that may be missed through traditional H&S processes.
  • Explore practical ways to incorporate psychological health and safety into inspections, investigations, and hazard assessments.
  • Consider how training and communication can support psychological health and safety.
  • Strengthen corrective and preventive actions by considering underlying workplace factors.
  • Identify simple ways to integrate psychological health and safety into existing H&S practices without creating unnecessary additional work.
