Simplifying Compliance

A new, free, web-based Workplace Violence Risk Assessment Tool is now available to support Ontario workplaces, including First Nations communities and organizations, in meeting their legal obligation to complete a workplace violence risk assessment. This session will introduce participants to the tool, demonstrate how it works, and highlight how it can be applied in community-based settings.

Designed to be simple, practical, and effective, the tool streamlines the risk assessment process by helping organizations identify workplace-specific risks, generate a clear report, and develop an actionable prevention plan. Participants will learn how this resource can strengthen due diligence, support safer workplaces, and contribute to proactive violence prevention efforts within First Nations communities.

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to access the tool and integrate it into their workplace health and safety practices.
